Shoneys in Chester

The service was great. We had a party of six and we arrived about 330pm. At first look at the buffet, it seemed less than advertising. When I inquired, my waitress said more food would be bought out shortly. The food was tasty, though there was no cakes or pastries to choose from.

The food is always hot and very good. Everyone that works there are very friendly. Have never had a bad meal or Waitress there.

My husband and I were there for supper last night. We had the hot and salad bar. It was good. I like eating at Shoney's. Always good food.

Very dirty bathroom. We arrived around 4 pm. I did not realize the buffet was 8.95 for my 11 year old granddaughter who only ate 1 plate of course my mistake. I have not went to a Shoneys I years and I will not step in another Shoneys ever. I could have spent half of that for a late lunch several other places. The choices were terrible and the salad fixings were old.

It was the best ever. Lots of choices. Every thing tasted great except for the pancakes. I ate at the buffet. We also found out that kids under 10 could eat free. Yay

As soon as you walk in the door you’re greeted with the stench of the bathrooms. The floors were dirty. We were afraid to put our elbows on the table because it was dirty and sticky. The fried chicken was tasteless. The pancakes and the French toast was hard, but they were just changing to lunch; it could have just been sitting there a long time. We will never return.

Mundane food but popular with locals

My friend and I had the all you can eat buffet. Not really crowded on a Saturday night. I had to wait almost 10 minutes to get my drink. The salad bar was fresh and tasty. I had some fried cod and shrimp, no complaints. Sweet flavored vegetables and collard greens we're good. The small steak that comes with the meal was okay at best. We used a coupon and saved $1.00; the price for each meal was $12.99. Shoney's has a breakfast buffet, senior, and military discounts. I'm sure I will give this place another shot.

They really need a process to handle large groups. The diners shouldn't have to wait for fresh buffet items until the group arrives. Food may need to come out quicker or more cooks may need to be in the kitchen. Staff seemed a little stressed out.

The breakfast buffet look great and those that took the choice enjoyed it. I ordered the spicy chicken plain (no pickles and no Cole slaw) but they excluded the sauce so the chicken wasn't spicy at all. It took them 20 minutes to get me the sandwich, but the fries and chicken were piping hot. The waitress was friendly although very busy

Hate to give out 1 star, but every category was just not good, and I am not overly picky :(

Every time I visit here it's packed with elderly ppl . No offense, but it's always a elderly person who smells of urine . It takes my appetite. This has happened twice. I understand older ppl wear adult diapers...but it's hard to eat with a strong odor hitting your nose .

I have enjoyed breakfast at this location multiple times as I travel up and down 95. Tremendous value and I just recently posted that I would rather eat at this Shoney's location then at the Embassy Suites complimentary all you can eat breakfast.

Totally gross floors (grease?). Team members were kind and mostly attentive.

Very nice buffet for a sit down meal with family while in town for a couple day stay. Would recommend this eatery if you are looking for traditional breakfast or a salad, both greens & fruit. Will definitely return on my next trip to the area.

I really like the buffet. The kids eat free on Wednesday made my family and I come back for years. Whenever I'm in Chester, I like to stop by and fill my belly with some seasoned, good food.

Would have give 5 stars but the booth we sat in was broke. Great good, great service.

Breakfast buffet was fantastic, we were lucky enough to visit just before the changeover to lunch and got an even wider range of options to try. Everything was hot and fresh, and was constantly managed (topped off and rotated)

Maybe this Shoney's needed more time to reopen? The eggs were well overcooked, the french toast was undercooked and the pancakes needed serious attention

Didn't have a very good selection of food. But the Waitress was very nice.

BEST SERVICE BY FAR ...

It's always good food and atmosphere. I recently visited a Shoneys in West Memphis Arkansas and it was HORRIBLE. Thank goodness for being back home where the food is good and the atmosphere is pleasant.

The staff there are really nice and friendly they go out there way to give us the best service I would recommend it to everyone

Not as good as it use to be, prices ASTRONOMICAL ! 8.99 FOR SOUP AND Salad. Rediculous ?!

I like the senior citizens discount on Tuesdays and the service is still good.

Picked up one of their famous strawberry pies... There was a little wait, but everyone was friendly and kept asking if I was being helped. Parking was a bit difficult, it seemed like they ran out of parking spaces by 5pm even though the place wasn't really packed.

Stopped here to eat after coming to this area to pick up my medical supplies. We arrived just before 11 AM and was able to get the last of the breakfast buffet. The food was tasty and the coffee was great also. We had a good server who was most courteous. Thank you for the Tuesday Senior Day. Keep up the good work.

Not a lot of buisness... waitress was awesome..food was good for a buffett, had everthing you would need including salad in the am...

Enjoyed my food, variety of food on bar, servers kept it filled and clean.
